“Congress must block Big Pharma’s monopoly control to set prices for medicines developed with taxpayer dollars, especially during a pandemic that’s taken the lives of over 120,000 Americans to date. The time to end Big Pharma business as usual and pass long overdue reforms that increase transparency, accountability and affordability for patients is now. Without an affordable vaccine and treatments, there’s no way to beat COVID 19. Unless Congress intervenes, drug corporations will do what they’ve always done: price-gouge patients for drugs to boost their profits. We’re eager to support this legislation to ensure COVID-19 treatments, therapeutics and vaccines are affordable to everyone, no matter where they live, what they look like or how much money they have.”
